God, The Difference Maker

First the promise, then the Process.
Proverbs 23:18 ESV Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
God always makes a difference. He is a difference maker. Whatever is happening in the world right now, if you belong to God and your expectations are from God, you will not end up like other men.
Things cannot be the same, remain the same or
I hope to strengthen your faith in God today.
This is not the time to be discouraged.
This is not the time to be distracted.
This is not the time to settle into a familiar rut.
This is instead the time to burn more fiercely for the Lord.
Romans 12:11-12 ESV Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. [12] Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
This is the time to put after the Lord, as a desperate deer longs for water.
God Is A Difference Maker From Creation
Genesis 1:1-10 NLT In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. [3] Then God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. [4] And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. [5] God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. [6] Then God said, "Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth." [7] And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. [8] God called the space "sky." And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day. [9] Then God said, "Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear." And that is what happened. [10] God called the dry ground "land" and the waters "seas." And God saw that it was good.
Difference Maker Among The Nations
Deuteronomy 32:8-9 ESV When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. [9] But the LORD's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage.
Difference Maker by Covenant
Exodus 19:4-6 ESV 'You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. [5] Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; [6] and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel."
Jeremiah 31:31-33 ESV Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, [32] not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. [33] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Hebrews 8:6-7 NLT But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. [7] If the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need for a second covenant to replace it.
1 Peter 2:9-12 NLT But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. [10] "Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God's people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God's mercy." [11] Dear friends, I warn you as "temporary residents and foreigners" to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. [12] Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.
Continue to trust God by focusing on the eternal rather than the temporary things you see in the world.
Pray for greater clarity to hear God's voice more distinctly than ever before.
Remain discerning about what you hear, ensuring it is a message that builds your faith, not one that instills fear.
James 5:11 indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord— that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
Luke 8:15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
You have received the word of God. Your heart is noble like the Berean Christians, and good like the Philippians. But if you lack patience, you will not produce fruit.
Revelation 3:10 ESV Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
God always separates between right and wrong, good and evil, the just and the unjust… eventually.
Matthew 5:44-45 LSB
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [45] so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 13:24-28, 30 NLT Here is another story Jesus told: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. [25] But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away. [26] When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. [27] "The farmer's workers went to him and said, 'Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?' [28] "'An enemy has done this!' the farmer exclaimed. "'Should we pull out the weeds?' they asked. [30] Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.'"
The inheritance of the saints includes trials and tribulations.
If we have not been taught about the trials and tribulations that are part of the inheritance of the saints, then we have not been fully taught. We are then like the believers Paul met in Ephesus, who were baptized into the baptism of John but had never heard of the Holy Spirit. They were taught correctly but they were not taught completely. If we only expect crowns but not thorns, we have learnt the truth, but we are yet to learn the whole truth.
Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light
Romans 8:17 and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
2 Timothy 2:11-13
For this is a faithful saying:
For if we died with Him,
We shall also live with Him
[12] If we endure,
We shall also reign with Him.
If we deny Him,
He will also deny us.
[13] If we are faithless,
He remains faithful,
He cannot deny Himself.
We must be prepared to endure because of the Word.
Matthew 13:20-21 ESV As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, [21] yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.
Psalm 105:17-19 KJ21 He sent a man before them, even Joseph who was sold as a servant, [18] whose feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in irons. [19] Until the time when his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tried him.
The word will come to pass, but first we have to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, endure afflictions as soldiers of Christ. We must know Him first in the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death before we can know Him in the power of His resurrection. Resurrection comes only after death.
