Part 2 The Unknown Joys of Submitting To The Lordship of Jesus
Part 2 The Unknown Joys of Submitting to the Lordship of Jesus

Psalms 115:16 (ESV) The heavens are the LORD’s heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man.
When God gave man dominion, He gave him the authority of a custodian, not that of the owner.
Leviticus 25:23 (NLT) “The land must never be sold on a permanent basis, for the land belongs to me. You are only foreigners and tenant farmers working for me.
1 Corinthians 15:27-28 (NLT) 27 For the Scriptures say, “God has put all things under his authority.” (Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.) 28 Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere.
Lot was a righteous man who had no Lord but himself.
A man who is his own master, has a wicked fool for a master.
Psalm 14:1 The fool has said his heart,
“There is no god.”
They are corrupt.
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.
Many claim Jesus as their Lord, but act like there is no god.
The question of Lordship must be settled if we are to make headway in our relationship with God. We must come to Him on His terms and not on ours.
Could this be the reason why many prayers go unanswered?
Proverbs 28:9 NKJV — One who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
Even his prayer is an abomination.
When we pray without a true surrender in our hearts to God, we sound like a General giving commands to his troops.
Recognizing Jesus for who He is… intrinsically and personally.
INTRINSIC… inherent, integral value.; found in His person as the second person of the Godhead.
Jesus Christ is worthy, more so than anybody else in heaven or on earth. This has nothing to do with what He has done for us. Even if He never did nothing for us, He is truly worthy of honor,
Revelation 5:1-14 (NLT) 1 Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who was sitting on the throne. There was writing on the inside and the outside of the scroll, and it was sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel, who shouted with a loud voice: “Who is worthy to break the seals on this scroll and open it?” 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll and read it. 4 Then I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll and read it. 5 But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.” 6 Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth. 7 He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. 8 And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. 9 And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.” 11 Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders. 12 And they sang in a mighty chorus: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered-- to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.” 13 And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: “Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.” 14 And the four living beings said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the Lamb.
A failure to recognize the intrinsic worth of Jesus shows rank foolishness.

Mental health crisis is on the rise, narcissism… is healing comes from seeing Jesus as exalted. The more we bow before Him, the less we think of ourselves, the less our minds are troubled. Where He is recognized as Lord, Peace always follows Him as the Prince of peace.
Personally.
He is worthy because of what He has done for us.
Colossians 1:13-29 (NLT) 13 For he (God) has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. 15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see-- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. 17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. 18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. 19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. 21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
