Transformed From Glory To Glory

TRANSFORMED FROM GLORY TO GLORY

Tuesday December 30, 2025

In the Bible, transformation (metamorphoō in Greek) is a profound, internal, life-long process where God changes a believer's core identity, mind, and heart to become like Christ, moving from an "old self" (sinful nature) to a "new self," manifested through renewed attitudes, desires, and Christ-like actions, empowered by the Holy Spirit. It's an organic, spiritual renewal, not just behavioral change, achieved by engaging with God's Word and Spirit, leading to holiness and bearing spiritual fruit.

Key Aspects of Biblical Transformation:

Greek Root: From metamorphoō, the same word for metamorphosis (like a caterpillar to a butterfly), implying a fundamental change in nature, not just appearance.

Internal & Spiritual: It's about God restructuring the heart and renewing the mind (Romans 12:2), aligning one's inner self with God's will.

From "Old Self" to "New Self": Moving away from sin and worldly ways to put on the new self, created for righteousness (Ephesians 4:22-24).

Work of the Holy Spirit: The Spirit enables this change, producing fruit like love, joy, peace (Galatians 5:22-23) and guiding believers into truth.

Process, Not Instant: It begins at salvation but continues daily through beholding the Lord (prayer, Bible study) and obedience, becoming "from one degree of glory to another" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Goal: To develop the mind of Christ and reflect His glory, leading to a life of joyful obedience and good works.

In essence, biblical transformation means God's divine life operates within you, reshaping you from the inside out to truly become like Jesus.

We will not all sleep. But we will all be changed.

There is the glory of the sun and there is the glory of the moon.

1 Corinthians 15:40-41,51 NKJV

There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. [41] There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

[51] Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-

2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The inner working and the outer working
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 NKJV
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- [52] in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

God works Himself, His Spirit, His motives etc, into us slowly… line upon line, precept upon precept; here a little, there a little. But when He determines that we are ready, He works out all He has worked in, instantly. We look like overnight successes to those who have not been privy to the slow, steady work of inner transformation.

1 Samuel 10:6 NKJV Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.

Psalm 105:19-22 NKJV Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. [20] The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. [21] He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, [22] To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.

On a certain day, Joseph woke up in the morning as a prisoner in Egypt, but by nightfall, he went to bed as the Prime Minister.

This is not a year to resist the Lord. Doing so will only slow down your own growth.

For as long as you are running the show called your life, you will be far from entering into the best that God has for you. There cannot be two captains of your destiny, and God will not fight you for the helm. Too many people have asked, “Why did God allow me to do such and such? Why didn’t He stop me when…?”

Whatever You’ve been, God wants to make you better.

Do not be stuck at the Chrysalis stage.
