If we know only the goodness of God, but not know His severity, our knowledge is hollow.

If we know only the severity of God and not His goodness, our theology is shallow. 

When things are going on well, nobody asks why. We simply enjoy our prosperity. When things are difficult when we are in the season of desolation, that is when we ask questions.
