Isaiah 6:8 NKJV Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."
Luke 10:1-3 NKJV After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. [2] Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. [3] Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. [38] Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
Methods of Evangelism
Card method –
Jot down scriptures to study
Memorize the address: book, chapter, and verse. (Example: John 3:16, Romans 12: 1-6)
John 3:16 NKJV For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 12:1-8 NKJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. [3] For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. [4] For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, [5] so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. [6] Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; [7] or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; [8] he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
2. Communication
Practice to tailor your approach and how you might witness to different individuals and in different situations.
3. Overcome Obstacles
Learn to overcome obstacles to frequent questions and objections that arise when sharing your faith.
4. Role-playing
It is important to practice sharing your faith with real people, like family and friends, before going out into the community and sharing your faith with strangers. This step helps to build confidence and allows you to practice different strategies when engaging in one-on-one conversations or in a small group setting.
5. Prayer
Never forget the power of a strong prayer life.
